About

Waterberg Wilderness Lodge is located about 8 km north-east of the Waterberg Plateau. The 3 500 hectare wilderness has gradually been transformed into a nature reserve and improvements to the area include the establishment of additional watering places for game animals and the erection of high fences and gates to protect the wildlife from roaming and poachers.

There is a terrace at the lodge which is an ideal spot for guests to relax and they can take a reviving dip in on of the two spring water swimming pools. There is a sunbathing lawn which is a popular feature and a library as well. All meals are served in the dining room and lunch pack can be ordered for those embarking on full day activities.

Accommodation at the lodge includes double or family rooms. There are eight spacious double rooms with a private shower/WC; lounge area and roofed veranda or terrace. The two family rooms have similar features to the double rooms.

Wildlife such as buffalo; black rhino or sable antelope can be found on the plateau and the slopes are home to klipspringers; rock hyrax and baboons. The valleys and plains are habitats for giraffe; kudu; gemsbok; warthog and more.
