This Fort is unlike any other, the only one of its kind, with probably one of the best sunset views in Namibia. Overlooking the beautiful Etosha Pan, accommodation consists of twelve Bush Suites as well as a Sultan Suite, with fire places for the winter months and air coolers for the summer months. Each suite has an indoor and outdoor shower and views that will enchant. With dramatic Moroccan details, there is something new to discover around every corner. We offer Rhino Research drives, interpretavive bush walks, Etosha drives and night drives on the Onguma Reserve.
The Onguma Plains Camp and The Fort are located on the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, bordering Fisher's Pan. The camp is situated on the private Onguma Reserve which spans about 20 000 hectares.
Accommodation at the camp includes 12 standard rooms; one fort suite and one bush suite. The standard rooms were built to resemble miniature forts and are spacious and equipped with en-suite bathrooms with both an indoor and outdoor shower.
Plains game can be seen in the area as well as three of the Big Five. Six Black Rhino were transported for the Etosha National Park to the reserve to be protected and monitored.
More than 300 bird species can be seen and the reserve boasts the biggest breeding colony of white-backed vultures in the country.
