Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund is a non-profit organization, therefore, a mutual beneficial Fund that belongs to its members.
Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund was established in October 2003 and is in compliance with the good corporate governance standards of NAMFISA.
NAMFISA requires that an independent Board of Trustees be set up by each Medical Aid Fund. The Board of Trustees is elected and appointed every 3 years by the members of the Fund at the Annual General Meeting. The Board represents the members of the Fund and is the final decision-making body. The Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund Board of Trustees has years of experience and skill and promotes transparency and good corporate governance.
Renaissance Health Medical Aid Fund is administered by Prosperity Health Namibia in terms of the Medical Aid Funds Act. Its responsibilities are, among others, to collect contributions, to process member claims, to ensure that member data is kept up to date, and to provide client service and health support to members.
