GocheGanas is a four-star lodge that offers a unique blend of luxury, nature and wellness experiences and is located about 29km from Windhoek,. Overlooking a 6,000 hectare nature reserve that houses diverse wildlife. There are 25 different wildlife species that can be seen in the area.
"Gocheganas" is a Damara name, meaning "Place of camelthorns, abounding with candle-pod acacias".
Accommodation at Gocheganas includes 16 luxurious chalets with thatched roofs and afford guests uninterrupted views over the nature reserve. All the rooms are fully equipped with en-suite bathrooms; air-conditioning; television sets and dvd/cd players as well as fully stocked mini-bars. The rooms consist of a Crown suite and 15 elegant suites. The crown suite can accommodate up to four guests and consists of a master bedroom; air-conditioning; television set with a dvd/cd system, mini-bar; telephone; en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath under skylight as well as an outdoor shower. The unit is linked to a large living and dining area with a couch-bed and en-suite bathroom by a timber deck.
The elegant suites have a private timber deck, and are equipped with air-conditioning; a television set with a dvd/cd system; mini-bar and telephone. All 15 suites have en-suite bathrooms with a seperate toilet and 10 of these suites offer twin beds and outdoor showers, while the other 5 suites have king-size beds.
Activities at the reserve include outdoor activities such as walks and guided game drives or relaxing in the wellness village for those guests that don't wish to exert themselves too much.
