Hippo Pools is located on the banks of the Kunene River and offers comfortable accommodation in the Owambo region of Namibia.
The campsite accommodation offers ten campsites under mopani and acacia trees on the bank of the river. The campsites have fireplaces and braai (barbeque) facilities, an ablution block with hot showers and environmental friendly toilets, firewood and paraffin lamps are available, as well as the services of local guides.
Activities and attractions at or around the campsite include guided walks to the Ruacana Waterfalls, guided walks along the Kunene River observing local wildlife; experience a visit to a Himba permanent settlement or a cattle post and a visit to the Ruacana waterfalls.
