About

Accommodation at this campsite is either camping or in rooms. Camping at Spitzkoppe is world famous. A mountain oasis in the Namib Desert, with unique oversized boulders and secret caves, allows the visitor to camp in complete peace and tranquillity. With the majestic Namibian "Matterhorn" as backdrop, and with the next camping site miles away, each visitor 'owns' the mountain during his time with us.

Camping, with 31 sites, can accommodate up to a maximum of eight persons per site and each site has a dry toilet, hot shower and is located near the reception area. Rubbish is collected daily by the community using a donkey cart. Thatched roof rooms nestled between granite boulders giving a spectacular view of the spitzkoppe landscape. Natural building materials were used in the construction, while rustic elements were used for the interior.
