Khaudom National Park

About

The densely wooded wilderness is home to a multitude of birds and large animals including elephant and giraffe, while predators include lion, leopard, spotted hyena, and side-striped and black-backed jackal.

The two campsites in the park, Sikereti and Khaudum, are no longer maintained, although camping is still available. It is advisable to bring your own water, wood, fuel and provisions.

Approximately 320 bird species have been recorded at Khaudum. Rare species include coppery-tailed and Senegal coucals, Bradfield’s hornbills, rufous-bellied tits, black-faced babblers and sharp-tailed starlings.
