Senior Brand Manager
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Candidate will be responsible for driving market/consumer research and competitive
intelligence gathering initiatives. It is required to use the insights you uncover to
develop short to mid-term plans for key brands/minor portfolio. This position will
include planning, coordinating and driving business planning, brand management,
brand planning, market research, new product development and roll out and business
performance tracking. Drive the development and execution of brand plans against key
objectives with a view to delivering against the financial and market share commitments.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Gather market and consumer insights required for key brands.
• Apply market and competitor information to prepare short to mid-term brand
objectives.
• With the guidance of the Marketing manager, develop and deliver brand strategies
ensuring the brand’s vision and strategic imperatives are aligned to the overarching
business / category strategy.
• Develop and deliver consumer relevant brand marketing mixes (value proposition,
product and packaging, communication and promotion) that drive growth and deliver
value.
• Develop annual brand marketing plans that will deliver GP and brand contribution
requirements.
• Ensures implementation of the annual brand marketing plan and its components
ensuring brand contribution requirements are met.
• Delivers brand projects with excellence, ensuring GP aspirations are met.
• Builds effective working relationships with internal & external work partners.
• Accountability for financial performance of brands.
• Accountability for market performance of brands.
• Provide assistance to rest of team.
• Representing company at various functions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
• Diploma and/or a Degree in Marketing (NQF 5/6) with at least 5 years relevant working
experience
• Namibian Citizen
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to communicate well in written and spoken English and Afrikaans
• Previous relevant FMCG experience is an advantage
• Adobe Suite / Coral Draw advantageous
