THE POSITION: PROCUREMENT
ASSISTANT/EXPEDITOR
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The incumbent will report to the Procurement
Manager and be accountable for:
• Daily filing.
• Taking part in stock counts.
• Updating logs and work sheets.
• Assisting buyers with administration functions.
• Assisting with the electronic procurement
(E-Procurement) process.
• Effectively and proactively liaising with other
departments as necessary.
• Adherence to policies, rules and procedures
governing the department.
• Focusing on delivering Key Performance
Indicators (KPI’s) and service delivery.
• Expediting all overdue orders and providing
feedback to buyers and end users.
• Addressing queries and concerns on price
variances as well as delivery quantities.
• Resolving problems and issues arising from
queries for purchase of services, supplies and
equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• A pass in Grade 12.
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in
supply chain or procurement.
• Sound knowledge of ERP (Accpac) systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of the supply market.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Package).
• Code B driver’s license.

THE POSITION: SAFETY OFFICER
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The incumbent will report to the Safety Manager and
be accountable for:
• Assisting with the development and
implementation of safety health systems and
procedures in areas of responsibility.
• Conducting and revising risk assessments and
safe work procedures, in areas of responsibility
in conjunction with line managers.
• Ensuring the health and safety of employees.
• Maintaining the Dundee work environment and
equipment in accordance with industry practices
and legal requirements.
• Determining incident root causes by recording
and facilitating investigations.
• Preparing reports on occurrences and providing
statistical information to management.
• Identifying potential hazards, in the work
environment and recommending preventative
measures.
• Managing and coordinating incidents as per set
procedures.
• Conducting safety inductions and orientations
for new employees, contractors and visitors as
required.
• Compiling and maintaining safety training
matrixes and records for areas of accountability.
• Recording and reporting on safety related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• A pass in grade 12.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Technology
in Occupational Health and Safety or National
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Professional registration will be an advantage.
• Should be Trained on Risk Management: OSHAS
18001 or Integrated Management Systems
• A minimum of 4 years working experience as a
Safety Officer.
• In depth knowledge of the Namibian Health and
Safety legislation and regulations.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office package,
with strong Excel skills).
• Must be in possession of a valid Driver’s license:
Code 08.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound problem solving and planning skills.

THE POSITION: SENIOR ENGINEER-WATER
AND TAILINGS
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The incumbent will report to the Director: Technical
Services and be accountable for:
• Providing guidance on operations and
management of water, sewerage and tailings
infrastructure.
• Conducting investigations and advising on water
related issues such as water storage, wastewater
discharge, storm water control and pollutants.
• Driving technical studies, investigations on
topics such as water pollution, treatment
options and oil water separation.
• Monitoring and maintaining records of water
quality, usage, treatment, and production.
• Monitoring updates of water balance models,
preparing internal and external reports on water
use, discharge as well as treatment.
• Operating parameters, technical and design
aspects of the Tsumeb Smelter tailings storage
facility.
• The monthly analysis of surveillance data,
attending formal inspections of the tailings
storage facility at the agreed frequency
(quarterly, bi-annually and annually) to ensure
the tailings dam is correctly operated.
• Change management process on water
and tailings infrastructure and operating
philosophies and parameters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Possession of a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor
of Engineering Degree in Geology, Hydrology,
Civil Engineering or other related engineering
fields.
• At least 7 years working experience in, mineral
processing, mine residue deposit, water
management or geotechnical works.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Package).
• Code B driver’s license.

THE POSITION: GUESTHOUSE
SUPERVISOR
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The incumbent will report to the Senior Manager:
Social Performance and be accountable for:
• Managing, organizing, and updating relevant
business data including stock.
• Drawing up annual budget for the Guest House
for approval by section head and keeping track
of operational cost to be within budget limits.
• Coordinating with cooks/chefs for special
dinners, buffets and ensure costing of such
special events are captured and logged.
• Taking charge of Petty Cash requisitions and
reconciliation.
• Conducting inspections and arranging for
maintenance of equipment and structures.
• People Management.
• Filing data and performing other routine office
administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• A pass in grade 12.
• Degree/Diploma in hospitality management or
relevant field.
• 5 years’ working experience in management of
hospitality industries.
• Experience in food preparation and serving.
• Must have financial aptitude and be able to
handle pressure.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office packages,
with strong Excel skills).
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license:
Code 08.
• Strong leadership, people management and
team playing qualities.
• Excellent communication and problem solving
abilities.
