Experienced Accountant – N/a’an Ku Se Wildlife Sanctuary
This role is based on site at N/a’an Ku Se Wildlife Sanctuary, 45km from Windhoek and
cannot be done remotely however if you have your own transport, you can commute daily.N/a’ankusê Wildlife Sanctuary is looking for an invigorated and dynamic individual to take up the
responsibility of an Experienced Accountant.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate would be responsible for the
accurate day to day financial management of a number of the Naankuse Group Accounts.
REQUIREMENTS• 3+ years work experience after graduating with a university degree in Accounting or Finance
• Pastel or a similar Accounting Software package. Knowledge of Semper would be an
advantage.
• Proficiency to communicate effectively in English and Afrikaans and strong and financial
management and organizational skills,
• Strong attention to detail
• Good attitude and ability to work with people of all backgrounds
• A love of animals is helpful as the position is based on the Farm.
JOB DESCRIPTION: AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY• Prepare monthly management reports and make recommendations for continued
improvements in the business.
• Data entry, sales, purchasing, accounting, inventory control, and clerical/administrative
functions
• Prepare financial statements and reports; reconcile and submit monthly statutory/Receiver
of Revenue returns and prepare payroll.
• Prepare and report on the funds received from our large donors including the Jolie Pitt
Foundation.
• Assist in providing documentation for the audited financial statements with the appointed
auditor and make all necessary preparation and adjustments.
The role is based on the farm and includes food and accommodation and is based on a 45 hour
work week. Annual leave is 24 days per year.
There is a 3 month probation period after which you are eligible to join the Company’s Health
insurance plan whereby the company will contribute 50% of the cost.
