Windhoek based vacancy:
Customer EngineerKey Performance Areas:• To provide service activities on company systems, including installation,
discontinuance, relocation, diagnosis, emergency repair etc while minimising
equipment downtime, ensuring client satisfaction, and assisting less experienced
field engineers providing on-the-job training and work direction as well as to be
responsible for supporting BCX’s client base; demonstrate and install software, train
staff and resolve problems
• Be aware of changes in clients strategic objectives and ICT requirements
• Take cognisance of ITIL compliance requirements
• Understand the change in the BCX service model to a services on demand model
• Analyse client needs and advise on certain solutions in conjunction with the relevant
BCX competencies
• Manage Configurations, coordinate computer operations, install hardware/software,
manage projects, test hardware/software, support users and ensure continuous
business improvement
Key Requirements:• Namibian Citizenship / Permanent Residence
• Minimum Grade 12
• NQF Level 4 plus relevant Diploma, NQF level 5
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in an IT environment
• MCSA Certification
• A+ N+ Certification
• Server+ an advantage
• Linux+ an advantage
• CCNA an advantage
• ITIL Foundation certification an advantage
