On behalf of our client, a pre-hospital medical emergency company, we are
recruiting the following WINDHOEK based vacancy:
GENERAL MANAGER
Purpose of Position:To ensure smooth running of EMED operations, rendering quality service to clients and managing budgets.
Furthermore, assisting the Road and Air Ambulance operations to meet objectives and continually improve
operations processes. Reporting directly to the Managing Director
• Oversee Line Managers by ensuring they comply with respective job descriptions, required
tasks and specified instructions
• Audit management in order to improve operations by monitoring systems, procedures and
performance
• Accountable for all new employment requirements and induction processes. Additionally,
recruitment, selection, training, assigning, counselling, wage negotiations and assisting with
disciplinary hearings
• Partake in annual budget planning and manage the process to keep within targets
• Facilitate and record monthly management meetings
• Ensure all irregularities e.g. incidents, accident and complaints reports are properly investigated,
resolved and actioned
• In conjunction with Operational Managers oversee the control of financial security regarding
employee leave, overtime, shift rostering etc
Key Requirements:• Namibian Citizenship / Permanent Residence
• Medical qualification or other Business related degree would be a great advantage
• Minimum 5 years experience at senior management level within the medical industry
• Valid Code B license with Own Vehicle is essential
• Must be a self-starter, problem solver and display strong leadership qualities to help the business
reach strategic goals
• An excellent communicator in English and Afrikaans (oral and written) is required
