The National Youth Service (NYS) Is a statutory youth development service Institution, with the main aim of delivering relevant national youth services, offering recognized skills
training and development programmes to the Namibian Youth.
The National Youth Service (NYS) was established by the National Youth Service Act 2005, (Act No. 6 of 2005) as amended.

THE POSITION
The position is at the level of a Chief Executive Officer of a Tier two (2) category under the State Owned Enterprise Governance Act, 2006 (Act No.2 of 2006) as amended. The successful
candidate will be appointed by His ExceliencyThe President, on the recommendation of the Board. He/she will be accountabletothe Board of Directors and be an ex-officio
member of the Board.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To strategically lead the Institution and ensure achievement of the Institution's vision, mission and strategic objectives as set out In the Strategic Plan and as perthe National Youth
Service Act.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
A relevant Master's Degree In Social or Management Sciences Is a prerequisite requirement for all candidates.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
At least ten (10) years'working experience, ofwhich seven m years should have been at a Senior Management level or alternatively, five (5) years at an Executive Management
level.

REMUNERATION
• NYS offers remuneration package based on the State Owned Enterprise Governance Act 2006, (Act No. 2 of2006) as amended. NYS is dassified as alier 2 Enterprise.
