Ai Aiba Rock Painting Lodge consists of a main building with a thatched roof dome, which hosts the welcome area with reception, guest lounge, public bar and restaurant which can seat up to 50 guests - serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The swimming pool is surrounded by a deck with sun beds and next to it a shaded area with table and chairs.
Accommodation consists of 10 thatch roofed chalets offering 20 luxurious twin rooms; each with private patio, en-suite shower and separate toilet. The rooms are tastefully furnished in African style with air-conditioning and a safe for valuables. A laundry service is available.
Behind the lodge starts an unguided, marked hiking trail, which takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Other hiking options or nature walks on our premises can be enquired at the lodge. We also offer various guided excursions where you discover the impressive geology of Ai Aiba and we explain the flora and fauna of the region. From our open 4x4 vehicles you can view the impressive rock formations and sites of rock paintings, of which some are up to 2000 years old. Sundowner tours are also on offer.
