IT Technician
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Ensuring users can complete their duties by manning the
helpdesk, preparing hardware and software, receiving and
attending to services requests.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and repair computers
• Perform daily check-up of data lines and connectivity
• Configuring software
• Update all necessary documentation regarding
Downtime, Passwords, Network settings etc.
• Reporting faults
• Helping the rest of the support team to complete their
duties
• Any reasonable related IT function requested by
management
• Supporting local and remote users
• Grant access to system and network resources
• Ensuring minimum downtime of users
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A+; N+; MS Office and operating system
• 1 Year’ experience in a Network and Systems
Administration
• Customer Service experience would be an added
advantage
• Valid Namibian Code 8 Drivers license
• Being available for after-hours telephone support and
after-hours maintenance
• Namibian Citizen
• Proficient in written and spoken English
