Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor located in the Facilities Maintenance Section, the incumbent serves as a
Trades Helper (Handyman). He/she will also be the main Truck Driver, operating a heavy duty water truck for the procurement
and delivery of water to oficial USG properties, owned and leased residential and non-residential properties, therefore he/she
has to have a valid code CE drivers’ license. He/she will drive the fuel truck to reill the generators located at all USG owned
and leased properties.
Trades Helper (WINDHOEK-2018-11)Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor located in the Facilities Maintenance Section, the incumbent will assist
Maintenance Technicians in the completion of Work Orders, in the different trades (Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing). He /she
will work independently on semi-skilled requests and on any painting requirements. Works on all U.S. Government facilities,
including ofice buildings and residential.
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician (WINDHOEK-2018-12)Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor located in the Facilities Maintenance Section. The incumbent will be
employed as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to accomplish skilled maintenance and repair
work throughout the Embassy Compound buildings, grounds and residential owned/leased properties. Work assignments which
includes hardware, associated peripherals, coniguration, optimization, repair of HVAC distribution, chillers, large central air
handling units, packaged A/C units, iltration, fan coils, variable air volume (VAV) units, HVAC ductwork, evaporators, condensers,
humidiiers, motorized valves, chilled water piping, circulation pumps, damper motors, controllers, actuators, HVAC
water treatment systems and other control devices.
Systems Manager (WINDHOEK-2018-13)The incumbent will serve as Systems Manager (lead systems administrator) in the Embassy’s Information Systems Center.
Supervises three (3) systems administrators: including project management, task assignment, and is responsible for overall
unclassiied network administration. Incumbent reports to the Information Manager Oficer (IMO) and Management Oficer, as
necessary. Provides computer support to all agencies subscribed to the ICASS cost center Information Management Technical
Support. Support includes LAN administration, hardware, software and network connectivity.
Local Guard Coordinator (WINDHOEK-2018-15)Under the direct supervision of the Foreign Service National Investigator (FSNI) the incumbent is responsible for post’s local
and residential guard security program that includes the development, coordination, maintenance and management of the facility
defense and reaction plans, oversees the management of the local guard contract and managing and coordinating security
drills.
