Senior Accounts Clerk (Head Office Windhoek)

Candidate Profile:• 3-year diploma or 4-year degree in Accounting
• 2 years relevant experience
• Ability to understand and interpret bank
reconciliations and bank statements
• Computer literate and fully conversant with
Microsoft Excel
• Sound communication, numerical and interpersonal

Key Performance Areas:• Effective daily reconciliation of Debtors, Cash,
Creditors and Disbursement bank accounts
• Investigate and resolve Bank Reconciliation queries
• Process Bank Journals as required
• Balance daily receipts per General Ledger with bank
deposit total per branch
• Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts

Key Performance Areas:• Administration
Goods received documentation
- Finalizing of the receiving part of the supplier`s
delivery note
- Calculation of cost and sales prices on computer
during the finalizing of goods received documentation,
as well as any price differences
Invoices of direct orders
- Finalizing of branch-direct orders, in other words, debit
the member and finalise the credit invoice according to
the computer (system) procedures
- Processing / handling of all outstanding credit invoices
Supplier claims
- Processing of all supplier claims for
➢ Faulty / broken stock received
➢ Wrong stock received
➢ Price differences on stock
- Processing / handling of credit of suppliers versus
claims submitted by suppliers
Control and/or finalizing of daily banking
Control and/or finalizing of the petty cash
Control over reports in order to balance nominal
accounts
Control and correction of stock take statistics
• Filing of all finalised (grouped) invoices.
• Ensure that all offices and pay points of the Agrimark
are neat and tidy at all times.
• Control and supervision over the Sales Clerk (Retail)
and Cleaner, and the allocation of daily tasks.
