An opportunity exists for interested and qualified
candidates to apply for the mentioned position at Namib
Mills (Pty) Ltd at Okapuka, Windhoek.
SECURITY OFFICER
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the weighing of incoming and outgoing
vehicles as per laid down procedures.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure that weighing is done correctly as per procedures
• Ensure that all documentation is present during weighing
process
• Ensure all procedures are followed
• Print vehicle details as per the scale’s internal memory
• Ensure all axels of vehicles are loaded according to
prescribed legal regulations by law
• Put all vehicle information onto cardex system and weight
onto weighbridge slip
• Seal vehicles as per laid down procedures
• Control flow of pallets to customers and depots
• Update and maintain filing of reports
• Timeously submit an accurate summary of all vehicles
weighed
• Assist the Operations department with administrative
functions and personnel timekeeping
• Carry out adhoc tasks as given by the superiors
• Monitoring of camera systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 (NQF4) with 3 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in an Operational environment will be an
advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience in a Security environment
will be an advantage
• Computer literate
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Willing to works overtime, shifts, weekends and on public
holidays
• Namibian citizen
