Senior Organisational Development Officer
Location: Husab Site
Reports to the Manager OD and Performance Management
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Coordinate and facilitate activities related to Organisational Development effectiveness and
efficiencies by assisting in the implementation of the Company Learning and Organisational
Development strategy. Facilitate Workforce Planning and Organisational Design, implement OD
initiatives, conduct and facilitate Assessments, drive all skills development programmes and ensure
compliance with Employment Equity requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
Implementation of organisational development strategy and initiatives: Organizational culture;
Performance management; Job evaluation and design and new employee orientation
Workforce planning and organization design: Maintain annual workforce plan and facilitate changes
to the structures; Maintain and verify reporting lines and cost center allocations; run monthly
reports and keep records of all changes to workforce plan, structures and positions.
Assessments: Assist with design of in house assessments; Ensure appropriate assessments
batteries are used and ensure adherence to Code of Conduct for assessments. ; Maintain and
ensure confidential storage of assessment results; Conduct and facilitate assessments as and when
necessary.
Skills development programmes and effectiveness: Facilitate centralized training; Assist with the
design and implementation of Career progressions frameworks; Management of Bursars, Graduates
and Internships. Assist with Talent and succession management.
Affirmative Action and Understudy Development: Compile annual AA report; Facilitate understudy
development progress reviews, Obtain relevant supporting documents and address all shortcomings
pertaining to the report; Serve as secretary to the AA committee.
General: Maintain professional and technical knowledge and skills and take responsibility of own
career development; Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues both
in own department and in the broader company; Adhere to all laid down Health, Safety, Security,
Environment and Radiation policies and procedures.
Requirements and experience:
• BTech/Bachelors’ Degree in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Development or Social
Sciences.
• 5-7 Years’ experience as OD Practitioner/ Officer in the Organisational Development and Training
environment.
• SAP Organisational Management system experience, as well as working knowledge and
experience on Excel, Word and Visio.
• Experience in Affirmative Action Compliance.
• Experience in designing and execution of career progression plans.
• Knowledge of training principles/ methodologies/ methods .
• Certification on facilitation and administering assessments.
• Assessor and moderator will be an advantage.
• Train the trainer/ Coach the learner certification.
• Valid Code B Drivers’ License.


Issuer/Receiving/Warehouse Clerk

Location: Husab Mine
Reports to the Manager: Materials & Warehousing
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To receive, check, bin and issue goods for delivery to end-users on receipt of valid warehouse
requisitions and/or delivery notes.
Key Performance Areas:
• Verifies all items received against delivery documentation and official requests
• Timely processing of all receipts and/or issues
• Opening and closing of delivered materials as and when required
• Manage discrepancies through the Receiving and/or Issuing process through an official
Discrepancy procedure
• Expedite discrepancies to ensure timely close out
• Performs stock counts
• Maintains designated area of the warehouse
• Bin items on the correct location in the warehouse
• Stack and store items inside the warehouse
Requirements and experience:
• Grade 12 with 20 points over 5 subjects.
• Supply Chain / Materials Management Certificate will be an added advantage.
• NQA Qualification: Level 3/4.
• General warehouse/inventory experience.
• 4 years Supply chain environment experience.
• Experience in materials planning/handling/ storage.
• Code B Drivers License


Warehouse Controller

Location: Husab Mine
Reports to the Manager: Materials & Warehousing
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To be responsible for the control of operations in the warehouse, and supervise in the receiving,
storing, and distribution of goods and supplies in the most effective and efficient manner, in order
to meet the Warehouse operations objectives.
Key Performance Areas:
• Performs duties to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse, through planning and
adequate manning.
• Supervises warehouse staff duties on a daily basis.
• Ensures optimal staff resource allocation through analysis of expected demand.
• Reduces shrinkage in the warehouse and instills a culture of honesty, trustworthiness and
accountability.
• Develops and implements appropriate security measures.
• Supervises forklift and pallet jack operations, counting, weighing and identifying of goods and
supplies meant for distribution and/or binning.
• Ensures legal compliance to hazardous chemicals and materials, test certificates and flash point
certificates.
• Assists in the control of inventory records systems to ensure an adequate supply of goods and a
proper inventory turnover through optimum Warehouse Management
• Provides an efficient and effective service to customers.
• Ensure the continuous maintenance of a proper and necessary safety and fire prevention
equipment within the warehouse.
Requirements and experience:
• Grade 12.
• Diploma in Supply Chain / Materials Management.
• 5 - 7 years materials management experience of which 3 years should be on a Supervisory level.
• Stock control and stock level experience is essential.
• Experience in SAP material management system or any related material management system.
• Code B Driver’s License



Catalogue Controller

Location: Husab Site
Reports to the Manager: Materials & Warehousing
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To control and maintain the warehouse catalogue at Swakop Uranium (SU) in accordance with
Company and Group specifications, standards, compliance of related items, end-users and supplier
requirements.
Key Performance Areas:
• Controls and maintains the Warehouse materials master at SU
• Facilitates, manages and controls all new stock applications
• Scrutinizes all relevant reports related to the materials master and promotes standardization of
equipment / spares
• Promotes and assists in the maintenance of a Hazardous Materials register
• Continuous enhancement of materials master data
• Ensures that all incoming goods, material and equipment are inspected for compliance with
order specification
• Works closely with all Vendors, Supply Chain staff and end-users in order to promote and ensure
efficient and cohesive delivery of service
• Safety, Health, Environmental, Radiation & Quality Effectiveness
Requirements and experience:
• Grade 12 with aDiploma in Supply Chain / Materials Management or equivalent technical higher
education.
• A proven technical background is essential.
• Code B/BE Drivers’ License
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in updating and controlling of material and equipment catalogues
• Sound knowledge of various products and services
• Sound knowledge in classification and coding of purchases



Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Husab Mine, Swakopmund
Reports to Superintendent Health & Safety
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Apply and monitor the implementation of the SSHRQ Management Plans and the application of
safety and health systems and procedures in areas of responsibility. Assist with the investigation
of incidents in order to identify causes and prevent recurrence. Inspect areas in order to identify
potential hazards and make recommendations for improvement. Advise and consult with line
management, employees and contractors on safety and health practices, development and
monitoring.
