The Rössmund Golf Resort & Lodge is situated approximately 7km from the coastal town of Swakopmund on the northern banks of the Swakop riverbed. The resort comprises a 20 room lodge, an 18-hole golf course and a residential estate.
Perfect not only for golf lovers, but also for those who want to stay close to Swakopmund, but prefer to stay outside of the town bustle. One of the most unique locations in the country, the view out of your window may feature the Swakop riverbed, the coastal sand dunes, the Namib Desert or one of only five pure desert golf courses in the world. It is silent and peaceful, and sunshine is more likely inland of the coastal mist that often cloaks the town.
Twenty chalets surround a stunning rock swimming pool. The large boulders you see as a foundation of the pool were found there as builders were digging. Rather than remove them, they incorporated them into the design. In the same spirit, the beautiful white stones of the walls were all gathered from the golf course property. Everything was built with the philosophy of integrating the construction into the surroundings.
Within these natural enclosures, first class accommodation awaits. All of the chalets are en-suite with a fireplace, satellite TV, mini bar and private patios. The reception area houses a beautiful bar, lounge and breakfast room. A comfortable braai area is active several nights a week, and the lodge even houses its own hair salon.
Any activity can be arranged from reception, and you will find yourself just down the road from horse riding, camel riding and local foods on the plots along the Swakop riverbed. Ten minutes from the ocean, five minutes to the sand dunes and a short walk to the Swakop River Bed, this spectacular location is where civilization and tranquillity come together.
