Oropoko Lodge is located on an 11 000 hectare farm and was built in 1993. It is about 130 km from Windhoek and can be reached by car, bus or light aircraft. Oropoko is the Herero word for 'beautiful place between mountains'.
Amazing views can be seen from both the main building and the Panorama restaurant and bar. The waterhole at the lodge attract wildlife of all kinds including rhino, ostrich and rock rabbits. The lodge also has a reception area, a conference room and a TV room.
Accommodation at Oropoko consists of four rooms and one bungalow. The rooms are equipped with double beds; a seating corner; en-suite bathroom with shower, double wash basin and separate toilet; air-conditioning/heaters; wall safe; telephone; kettle and mini-bar. There are three luxury suites located in the bungalow. They are larger than the double rooms with the same features as the double rooms.
Activities that can be partook in include guided game drives and guided walks.
