The White House guestfarm was built in the early 1900s, between 1912-1915. This guestfarm is located on a 15 000 hectare farm in the far south of Namibia, about 11km north of Grünau on the B1 road to Windhoek. The White House is often used as a base to make a day-trip to the Ai-Ais Hot Springs and the Fish River Canyon.
The White house guest farm boast "cold beer, home cooked meals and the best lamb in the world". In the main building, guests will find a well stocked fridge in the kitchen with cold beer, wine and soft drinks. Accommodation in the main building at the guest house includes four family rooms and a small room which is generally used for students. The main building is also fully equipped with modern amenities and each room has its own private bathroom.
Chalets at the guest farm are equipped with a well stocked fridge with beer, wine and soft drinks and there is also a kettle with coffee and tea available for guests. The guest farm can accommodate up to 28 people. Guests are more than welcome to self cater, however the guest farm does offer delicious home-cooked meals.
