Vastrap Guest Farm is located halfway between Keetmanshoop and the border to South Africa, near the town of Grunau in the south of Namibia. The word 'vastrap' can be translated to 'foothold' or 'stepping stone'.
The farm sits on about 6 000 hectares of land and has been in its owner family since 1942. Accommodation at the guest farm consists of six en-suite bedrooms; two en-suite self-catering chalets and a self-catering flat which has two en-suite bedrooms.
The guest farm has a barbeque area which guests can utilize and fresh meat is always available at the farm. There is also a swimming pool where guests can cool off.
Activities include day trips around the farm; self-drive trips to the Fish River Canyon and guided hunting safaris during huntin season which is from May to August.
Attractions in the vicinity include the Fish River Canyon; Aussenkehr Wineyards; Ariamsvlei; Ai-Ais and the Naute Dam.
