Hot Springs Wellness Spa and Salon
The Ai-Ais Hot Springs spa & Resort is located at the south end of the Fish River Canyon. It is the perfect place to relax, with its thermal baths and heated swimming pool. It is the ideal stop-over for those heading to South Africa or even those who are en-route to Sossusvlei and Windhoek. It is suitable for singles, couples, groups as well as families. The resort forms part of the Ai-Ais/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park.
The resort has a restaurant and bar, serving buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can seat up to 100 guests.
Accommodation at the resort includes double rooms and premier chalets. There are 16 river view double rooms and 20 mountain view double rooms , and are all situated in the spa complex. The river view rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, a tea/coffee station and an outside shower. The mountain view rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and a tea/coffee stations.
There are seven premier chalets and these are perfect for groups or families, they are equipped with en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. The three bedrooms either have a three-quarter sized bed, two queen sized beds or a king sized bed. There is a self-catering kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, two-plate stove, microwave oven, kettle, pots & pans and plates & cutlery.
Activities that can be enjoyed while staying at the resort include visits to the Fish River Canyon, the Fish River hiking trail, which is approximately 80km long and takes 4-5 days to complete, these trails cater for a maximum of 30 people, in addition to this guests can also just spend their days relaxing at the thermal springs and being pampered.
