iGowati country hotel is located in Khorixas in Damaraland. iGowati means desert dunes and the lodge is built and decorated in colors reminiscent of the Namib desert.
Accommodation at the hotel consists of 29 en-suite rooms, which are all equipped with telephones, fans as well as coffee/tea making facilities. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu as well as buffets for larger groups of guests.
There is a swimming pool where guests can cool off and a curio shop sells various knick-knacks and other interesting arts of Damaraland.
Activities in the area include day trips to Twyfelfontein with its amazing ancient rock engravings, the Burnt Mountain, the Petrified Forest and the Organ Pipes, the trip includes lunch packs, soft drinks, guide/driver as well as vehicle and entrance fees at the site. They also offer trips to the Vingerklip (rock finger), and also to the Himba village, Skeleton Coast, the White Lady rock engravings and donkey cart trips.
