About

Situated in the heart of the city in the historic Old Breweries building surrounded by a full range of handmade craft produced exclusively in Namibia, the Craft Café offers a unique and delightful menu balancing healthy eating and drinking with old world indulgence like home made baked cheesecake and apple crumble complemented by the - often confirmed - best coffee in town. A big variety of Salads as well as home baked breads topped with local delicacies form another part of the menu.

Make a turn by the Craft Café and get to enjoy wholesome health food! Our outside balcony offers the visitor a chance to relax and view Windhoek skyline and sunset.

The Craft Café provides a varied menu for breakfast – like muesli with fresh fruit, omelettes and other “eggish” meals, huge (healthy and “rich but less healthy”) scones,…–, lunch or light dinner (creamy quiches, open sandwiches of home-baked health bread, home-baked pita breads with e.g. smoked game and sun-dried tomatoes or Kudu Salami and honey-mustard dressing), and snacks (parmesan-grissini with Namibian Olives, exquisite cheese platter, or just filled “Brötchen”). It’s all served with flare on handcraft crockery with a fresh salad and garnished with long laces of cucumber, garden herbs and a sprinkle of various seeds.

Or you enjoy one of many salads offered: with fried chicken breasts – with fried tofu – with avocado – or a rolled Greek style salad – and please your sweet taste with a good-home-style baked and much-loved chocolate cake, apple crumble cake with ice cream, or baked cheesecake.

Before or after your meal you might want to enjoy one of so many fruit and vegetable juices, which are freshly squeezed – and you are welcome to pick your own mix.

The beverages are just as tempting… a cappuccino with or without luxurious flakes of chocolate, a bowl of “milch kaffee” or a pot of honey bush tea to complement the bakes. The extraordinary yoghurt health shakes with seasonal fruit and some “secret” ingredients you won’t find at any other place.

The café is licensed and offers all local beers and some imported ones e.g. the Bavarian “Schneider Weisse” and a comprehensive selection of wines including some organic ones..

For taking home there are delicacies for sale like a huge variety of jams, chutneys, preserves and Namibian specialties like chilies or olives, including the unique and exotic fares, such as the matanga jam, made from an indigenous fruit found in Northern regions of Namibia.
