Namibia's Roads Authority was established in terms of Section 2 of the Roads Authority Act, Act no. 17 of 1999 and became operational on 01 April 2000. The Roads Authority is responsible for the management of national road network with a view of achieving a safe and efficient road sector.

DIVISION: NETWORK PLANNING AND CONSULTATION

1. DIVISIONAL MANAGER: NETWORK PLANNING AND
CONSULTATION, Patterson Grade: E3, Head Office

Purpose of the Job:

To direct the Network Planning and Consultation Division by
strategising the planning of Namibia's road network and providing
technical Et strategic advice to stakeholders. Compiles the Roads
Authority's operational budget and coordinate the fine tuning with
funding sources.

DIVISION: OFFICE OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
SUB-DIVISION: LEGAL SERVICE

2. SENIOR MANAGER: LEGAL SERVICES, Patterson Grade D5, Head
Office

Purpose of the Job:

To ensure that the Roads Authority fulfils its mandate as per the
enabling legislation, the Roads Authority Act, 17 of 1999. To further
lead and coordinate the implementation of corporate governance
programs, policies and practices and strategic frameworks for the legal
advisory, compliance and procurement Sub-sections of the Roads
Authority. To provide Strategic Legal Advice to the Board of Directors,
EXCO and Management by conducting analysis of legal risks and
ensuring compliance to the Roads Authority Policy Et Procedures,
relevant national legislation and international conventions.

3. LEGAL OFFICER GOVERNANCE: Patterson Grade D3, Head Office

Purpose of the Job:

To provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and assist
the Senior Manager Legal Services to research and provide legal
opinions to Board and Management in order to effectively meet
organisational and business objectives.

DIVISION: CORPORATE SERVICE SUB-DIVISION: HUMAN RESOURCES

4. SENIOR PRACTITIONER: TALENT DEVELOPMENT, Patterson Grade C4, Head Office

Purpose of the Job:

To develop and facilitate, advise on and execute RA organisational effectiveness interventions, programs, processes and guidelines relating to organisational development and change management to ensure that organisational environment supports the organisation strategy and operational plans.

5. SENIOR PRACTITIONER: EMPLOYEE RELATIONS Patterson Grade C4, Head Office

Purpose of the Job:

To provide professional industrial relations services in the organisation to ensure that labour relations between management and employees are maintained by handling disciplinary and grievance cases according to Industrial Relations policies, procedures Et relevant labour legislation. To ensure the compliance of the requirement of the Employment Equity Act (29 of 1998).
