Debmarine
Namibia requires the services of a Security Officer: Shorebased. The incumbent’s primary role will be to perform
administration support to the Security Unit as well as the surveillance on
individuals a shore via computer monitoring and video tape, conducts security
inductions, conduct risk analysis, ensure data integrity of all security areas
of DBMN department ashore.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:- Monitors production process and reports non-procedural or below standard
practices
- Updates information Systems and adherence to good change control practices
- Completes incident logs and notes non-target observations in non-incident book
- Reviews day reps for incidents and completeness and informs the Marine Superintendent of any irregularities
- Reviews reports of Senior Security Officers and
informs the Marine Superintendent of any irregularities

- Handle confidential matters
- Good written and verbal communication in English
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 plus a certificate in Security Management or equivalent qualification
- Five years relevant experience
- SAP experience will be an advantage
- Experience in the Police or National Defense Force (NDF) environment will be an added advantage
