An in-depth knowledge of the food &
beverage industry and of the services
industry on board ships. The successful
candidate should be willing to work
offshore for 28 days at a time and preferably
be a Namibian citizen.

A valid passport (for at least 18 months from date of successful application)

A valid Certificate of Conduct (Namibian Police)

Pre-Sea induction certificate (from accredited institutions)

A valid Helicopter Underwater Escape Training certificate (Dunking Course)

Seaman’s Record Book
-
Valid First Aid Certificate
-
Valid Proficiency in Survival Craft Certificate
-
Valid Annual Medical Certificate
-
Inoculation Certificate (with Hepatitis A/B injections)
-
Restricted area permit
-
Security clearance certificate
-
Previously disadvantaged will be given first preference
-
Visa and Work Permit/ Domicile (if Non-Namibian)

Cooks – Efficient Cooks Certificate from a recognized marine establishment.
Minimum Education:
•
A minimum of Grade 12 certificate
•
Have a valid testimonial and references
•
Fluent in speaking English
•
Good/excellent reading and writing skills (English)
