VACANCY:
MANAGER: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the position of
Manager: Technical Operations.RoshSkor is a private company that manages Rosh Pinah town’s affairs on behalf of Rosh Pinah Zinc Corporation and
Skorpion Zinc, who are the owners of RoshSkor. RoshSkor’s primary responsibility is to ensure sound management
and maintenance of the infrastructure and basic services in Rosh Pinah.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications: Engineering Degree/Diploma with specialization in electrical and/or
civil engineering and/or town planning.
Experience:• Minimum 15 years’ experience in technical operations management of municipal services of a
town of with more than 15000 people.
• 5 years’ experience in a management position
Experience and Requirements:• Technical experience in:
o Town infrastructure development.
o Town infrastructure preventative maintenance.
o Infrastructure expansion and project management.
o Civil works and project management.
• Extensive exposure in acting capacity as Town Manager.
• Sound financial management knowledge
• Computer literacy in MS Office Suite including MS Project Management
• Experience in the engineering department of a local authority or municipality
• Engagement experience with governmental departments and associated businesses
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Contract management
• Procurement and supply chain skills
Job Key Performance Areas:Management of RoshSkor’s Technical Operations department as defined by RoshSkor –
this includes but is in no way limited to:
o Building Control and Administration
o Responsible for establishing and maintaining of all installations and projects in the department
o Managing all aspects of service delivery by contractors
o Managing all aspects of Tender administration
o Managing all technical support services
o Ad hoc tasks as assigned to the Technical operations department
Other: Namibian Citizen, Valid Driver’s license
